Witches Kits: Spiritual Self-Care

Hello my Fairies:

I started creating this spiritual journey through my deep roots to my home land Portugal.

In Portugal the history of witches trials is limited in that there was barely any but that is not the case. Portugal’s witch hunts were conducted quietly and only 912 women underwent court trails as they state. It was definitely streamed out in christianity that any type of herbalism was considered witchcraft or sorcery was a sin to the first commandment. Many were placed in prison, executed, are exiled out of the country.

During the 14th to 19th Century approximately 20,000 women were accused of being a witch but it is estimated that there was much more. These women were banished from society due to be stated that they were devil worshippers. Today, it is still condemned if you partake in Witcher activity. This was strictly targeted towards women which were in fact herbalists creating some spiritual magick through their relationship with the earth.

It is also seen as backward thinking, uneducated, poverty stricken towns to be engaging in witchery magick, in Portugal. There have been many herbalist that have helped people in small towns that were poor and helped them to live longer lives due to not having the medical means. Today, I believe there is magick in all of us, we all have a root in our homes that is connected to plant medicine of our earth and we are connected to mother earth. The modern world and upper elites have made us frown upon that, so that we depend on their laboratory medicine. Think about it, penicillin was created through exploring mould that forms on our plants or yeast on bread.

In this story my recent journey as a green witch is rebirth and my witches kits are connected to my journey!
