Honoring Love: A Journey of Making Banishing Oil

Today, I created a banishing oil to bring in protection, spirituality & internal strength. This banishing oil is a favourite of mine that I created through in my dreams. I will add the magic tools within the end of this letter I share for my mom. Mom I remember the care you took to make our clothing as children. You always made us matching outfits. You took so much care in our presentation. You gathered beautiful shoes to match all of our outfits and spent hours creating them into the late night. Mom have I ever told you how talented you are! You designed clothing without any guidance or patterns. You are truly a great designer, sewer with such an eye for creativity.

My most vivid memory was my PROM dress for Grade 8. You spent many sleepless nights creating magick for my special day. When you are developing and entering those difficult teenage years, you do not realize the sacrifices parents make for their children! you put so much efforts, so many sleepless nights and needing to go to work the next day.

I realize today how remarkable you are and I hope you know how much I love you. I appreciate everything you did for us each and every day and not a moment goes unforgotten. Life is not a perfect journey and so much dismay to it but there is so much beauty & moments to hold onto. I think at times we have forgotten to make memories and that is so much more important than anything else. I know that I get my creativity from you and love to create in many different ways. Mom I often wish we kept all those clothing you create with your beautiful hands but it is alive in my mind.

Thank you mom for being love! I am a writer and words are my power which offer so much healing to them when it is released. We often keep love to our selves and share more of the things that do not go well but today’s and days ahead I want to honour all that goes well and honour the beautiful memories instead.

My Magick Banishing OIL:

• Gather an antique small to medium jar. Before using the jar make sure to cleanse it out with a incense stick.
• Add juniper seeds, dried rose petals, baby breaths, oranges, apples, pine & cedar
• I added almond oil, patchouli essential oil, and pine essential oil
• Badger fur and lamb bones: gathered throughout walks and through a lady living in England.
• These are all gathered into the jar, soaked up, and left under the sun for a few hours.

This oil is added to my incenses, smudge sticks, rituals to bring in loyalty, strength, forest connections through grounding and it protects your home & hearth. The badger fur offers protectiveness: badgers are known for their fierce protectiveness of their families and their homes. They are very connected to the earth and often associated with the element of earth. They are known for their deep spiritual power and their connection to the spirit world. They are such incredible creatures of this earth and with so much knowledge to share among us. When the opportunity arrives and I am privileged to have a little of their magick I will use it.
